[Editor’s note: Andy doesn’t like to type, so the following was dictated, over the course of several shoeshines, to April Ludgate, who then typed it up. All lines printed here are verbatim, unedited, and 100% actual things that he said.]
Welcome to Andy’s Jams! I almost called this page “Andy’s Jam-dy’s,” because "Jam-dy's" are what I call jams. And I'm Andy. Hence, "Andy's Jam-dy's." Get it? Cool. You're awesome.
Anyway, Andy Dwyer here. You may know me as the lead singer of Mouse Rat, or as the lead singer of Scrotation Marks, or as the lead singer of one of these bands we used to be called, or as the second-lead drummer of Four Drummers and a Funeral. Regardless of how you know me, you're probably here because you're a big fan of me and of music. Me too, glad we're on the same page.
If you like music as much as I do, you're probably always listening to songs. The song is one of the best ways to experience music. It is also a great art form, right up there with poems and raps. A little bit below movies, but above books. Wait, no, above movies. Except Jaws. That movie is amazing. So, for Best Art Forms, it goes:
Jaws
Songs
Movies
Poems
Raps
Books
The point is, every few weeks I'm going to make a list of the songs I'm listening to and tell you why they're awesome. What is it going to cost you? Absolutely nothing. Wait – fifty bucks! No, screw it, I already said nothing. Fine, nothing. Here we go!
